Twins

Standing side by side are the Duomo Vecchio (11th century), one of the rare circular Romanesque churches in Italy, and the Duomo Nuovo, whose construction began in 1604 but was not completed until the 19th century. Because the works took so long, the old cathedral was never torn down – and so both remain standing.
