The Capitolium, dedicated to the Capitoline Triad of Jupiter, Juno and Minerva, was built in 73 AD under Emperor Vespasian and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Brixia. The temple has three cellas and still impresses with its preserved floor mosaics and fresco fragments. Together with the adjacent theatre and the famous Vittoria Alata, it ranks among the most significant Roman remains in Italy.
